Palinodie ETS thinks and makes resident, resilient contemporary theater. Through performances, workshops and festivals, it generates cultural and social value, promoting ethical and sustainable innovation in cultural processes. Its approach integrates artisticity, human sustainability, accessibility to culture, gender equity and systemic ecology, building a theater capable of dialoguing with the present and its fractures.

A necessary theater

Palinodie believes that contemporary theater and new dramaturgy can hold together the sacredness of the ancient and the anxieties of the present, transforming our beliefs and opening up new visions. His creations address the great issues of our time: the climate crisis, the evolution of emotional relationships free of gender stereotypes, the relationship between human beings and nature. Not just narrative, but transformation. A poetic and radical language, outside any ideology, to give voice to the instances of change in society.

A theater rooted and on the move

Rooted in the Aosta Valley, Palinodie has been working for more than a decade between cities and valleys, creating connections between communities, artists and territories. The mountains are its starting point for looking far and taking its theatrical language to new geographies. In a mountain and frontier context, theater becomes a tool for dialogue, reflection and local, social and cultural transformation.

Palinodie creates site-specific works that enhance the material and intangible heritage of places, interweaving contemporary narrative, traditions and memories. Theater steps out of conventional spaces to encounter urban and natural landscapes, creating immersive and collective experiences.

A theater that shapes and engages

Palinodie is a permanent laboratory of research and creation, where theater production becomes a collective and open process. Through paths of theatrical pedagogy, workshops and masterclasses, it fosters the protagonism of the younger generation, renewing the scenic language, opening to the theatrical experience, both as performers and as spectators, stimulating the active participation of the audience. Because theater is and remains a collective ritual, but it can also become a space for democracy, freedom of expression and equality.

At a time when cultural work is marked by discontinuity, scarcity of resources, and imbalances of access and gender, Palinodie stands as an experience of contrast and resistance. Its challenge is to make theater a living and necessary tool, capable of generating new connections, thoughts and possibilities. Palinodie gives life to a theater that interprets the present through the intrinsic power of art and culture, rediscovering its most ancient and universal nature.
