History of Palinodie

Between 2019 and 2021, Fiabe Remix takes shape, a format that reinvents classic fairy tales by setting them in villages and hamlets of the Aosta Valley for the Office régional du tourisme's Fairy Tales in the Woods event: more than 200 performances and more than 17,000 spectators. In the same period, the Company is regional referent for PRIMO, a European project dedicated to performing arts for girls and boys at risk of school dropout.

In 2019 Stefania Tagliaferri receives the Per Chi Crea - New Works for Theater Award from the Ministry of Culture for To My Daughters. Avere come mamma Bocca di Rosa, while Verdiana Vono wins the Italian section of La/s Escritura/s de La/s Diferencia/s Bienal de Dramaturgia Femenina in Cuba with the text Brucia il Mito.

During the lockdown, I muri parlano - Dal salotto di Donne al bagno di Apnea (The Walls Speak - From the Drawing Room of Women to the Bathroom of Apnea) was born, eight unreleased monologues that bring the company's female voices to the stage through a voice and word work recorded "from home."

July 2021 sees the debut of Aosta Città Diffusa - a traveling festival of urban regeneration and performing arts, now in its fifth edition in 2025. Today it is curated by the Mountain Creatures Association (link to page), led by Verdiana Vono. On the tenth anniversary of the Company, Palinodie also launches Letture Altre, a literary contest to give voice to young readers, sponsored by the City of Aosta, now in its fourth edition.

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Gran Paradiso National Park (2022), Verdiana Vono's Persino le montagne più alte, directed by Stefania Tagliaferri, debuts, replicated in natural settings, squares and regional theaters. In December of the same year, Quasi un canto di Natale (Almost a Christmas Carol), written and directed by Verdiana and Stefania, is staged at the Giacosa Theater.

In 2023, Essere Città - Urban transformations through theater, an under-25 workshop promoted by the Region of Valle d'Aosta and led by Tagliaferri, Vono, with the support of Marta Lavit, kicks off.

The year 2024 confirms Palinodie as a creative forge: on March 8, it inaugurates the first Italian edition of Black History Month with the unreleased show Strong; in the same month Verdiana Vono is in residence at the Claudia Lombardi Foundation in Lugano to work on Tinta. An Autobiographical Story, which won the Premio Scenario Adolescenza; and on Dec. 3 she debuts at Teatro Giacosa with Come noi, an intense reflection on non-toxic and nonviolent love.

Today the company is working on a new creation on the theme of L'atlante-Oggi splende il sol,a show that stems from the desire to relate some important encounters, influenced by the general climate we are experiencing. Two literary sources of reference, Robin Hood, the bandit archer who steals from the rich to give to the poor, and Volterra's Candide.
